Q:
What kind of blades can you use with the HeadBlade®?
A:
The HeadBlade® accepts both Schick® Ultrex® and Gillette® Atra®
pivoting twin blades. The HeadBlade® Company, LLC is not affilliated
with either The Gillette Company or Warner-Lambert but we do think their
blades are excellent.
Q:
Is the ring on the HeadBlade® adjustable?
A:
Yes. The Headblade Head Razor is made out of a high quality plastic (it contains
a lot of rubber) and the ring can be adjusted to just about any finger
size. To adjust your HeadBlade® warm the ring with a hair dryer (not
your own of course) and then gently manipulate the ring to the
appropriate size.
Q:
How long will it take to rid myself of the bad habits accumulated over
years of shaving with a conventional razor to fully appreciate this new
method?
A:
The Headblade Head Razor fits right inside the palm of your hand and you may get
the hang of it right off. But be patient, it may take you three to five
shaves before you become fully comfortable with the HeadBlade and its
revolutionary method. Once you do get the feel of the Headblade Head
Razor you'll
see your shaving time cut dramatically. And you'll get a better head shave.
Q:
The razor looks really big, like the size of a small to medium size
compact car. Can it really be that big?
A:
No. The HeadBlade® design was strongly influenced by automotive design
but make no mistake, at less than 2.5" long you won't drive it
south of your shoulders (unless you like that sort of thing). It's
really not that big, unless you're really really small.
Q:
Which way does it go? Can left-handed people use it?
A:
The Headblade Head Razor's multiple patent-pending design situates the blade in
the front. Think of it like a snow plow only with blades that shave your
head. Oh yeah, and it's a lot smaller than a snow plow (see above). The
design is symmetrical and can be used on either hand upside down or
rightside up, depending on whether you shave your head with the grain or against.
Q:
Why is the blade in the front of the HeadBlade and why do I push instead
of pull it? Should I apply pressure?
A:
After extensive development it was found that the automatically pivoting
blade of the HeadBlade had to be in front. Pulling the blade across your
head creates lateral movement of the blade which results in nicks and
cuts. Pushing the blade eliminates lateral movement. And no, you don't
need to press down on the razor to shave your head. The only pressure you need to put is on
back pad to make sure it stays in contact with your scalp.
Q:
What kind of skin moisturizer should I use on my scalp?
A:
You should use a non-comedogenic cream (won't clog pores)
Q:
Can I use the HeadBlade® to shave my face?
A: Please
understand that because of the razor's revolutionary design we had to
call it the HeadBlade®. It is for the head, but of course you can use
it on your face. Here's how. After you shave your head, carefully (we
mean very carefully--this should be enough of a legal disclaimer) take
the blade off the adaptor and turn it around. Then place it back on the
adaptor. Hold the razor between your middle finger and thumb with your
index finger situated on the "HB" pad. Now shave your face.
Good job. This is a razor. Be careful.
